Compassionate, professional and committed individuals volunteer to provide quality and effective advocacy services to victims of crime. This position includes providing on-call support, crisis intervention, follow up and information on victim rights and community resources. The successful completion of a 10 week training academy is needed to volunteer.

Training is provided for this unique field.  Assist investigators with victim contact, locating stolen property, providing victims with information on how to recover from Identity Theft and other related duties.

Enjoy working with people?  Certified CSPD staff will train you how to properly take both ink based and electronic fingerprints as well as how to recognize quality prints.  Work with individuals needing non-criminal fingerprint services for employment, adoptions services, applications for child care, licenses, teaching etc.  This position offers a wide variety of time options including Saturdays.

Volunteers fluent in Spanish are called to assist staff and citizens when they are unable to converse effectively due to language barriers.

This award winning program needs licensed nurses, mental health professionals and clinical social workers to provide services to support a variety of outreach health initiatives through the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

This select, proactive and outgoing group of individuals is dedicated to positively promoting and educating citizens about the police, fire and emergency management departments.  Volunteers staff tables at exciting events to include the Balloon Classic and other community engagements.

Administrative support is needed across many disciplines within the police and fire departments and the department of emergency management. Services include data entry, working in a variety of Microsoft Office applications, scanning, filing and other clerical duties. Opportunities include both short and long term projects.
